As a Lymphoedema Practitioner and Holistic Therapist I have a great opportunity to introduce and promote complementary therapies to each and every one of you.  My main interests are in the Practice of both the ancient tradition of Reflexology and the newer specialized form of therapy based around the lymphatic system, known as Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT). I am also fascinated by Access Bars for its role in assisting deep relaxation and the feeling of decluttering of our busy minds and bodies. http://www.accessconsciousness.com/

I see the treatments that you receive from these practices as a gentle non-intrusive approach to assist you to look after yourself and your well-being.  Holistic therapies are unlikely to ever replace medical care, however they are becoming more acceptable within the world of medicine as add on and support treatments.  Having been a voluntary therapist at Paul’s Cancer Support Centre in London for 10 years I gained positive first hand experience on the benefits each treatment can offer. I  have also worked at Parkside  Hospital  Physiotherapy  team  as a Lymphoedema Practitioner/MLD therapist.

I believe there is a time and place in everyone’s life schedule to give holistic treatments an opportunity to shine.

As a previous member of Kings Cormorant's Masters Swimming Club and as an ex-competitive swimmer in my youth, I understand the importance of having to look after our bodies and maintaining the balance between training, health & nutrition, mental and physical strength.

Prior to becoming a Complementary Therapist I have worked in an office environment within a number of industries and I am fully aware of the stress and strains work and office life bring and just as aware of outlets required to release these.

At the end of the day it is all about balance and finding what works best for you.
